I was actually writing this while mildly exhausted so I'm glad that it came out not only coherently, but also praiseworthily. :)<br /><br />With very few exceptions, I never read historical romance or mysteries. They're just not my thing. But when I read the blurb on the cover for Silent in the Grave I was immediately intrigued. The book was well-written, Lady Julia was funny, Nicholas Brisbane was mysterious, but the thing that I loved most about the book was that I was actually surprised at the ending. Most mystery novels are easy to figure out but I actually gasped out loud when I found out who had done it. My grandmother and I often shared books and when she read it even she said that she hadn't seen that coming. <br /><br />Okay, I'm gushing.
