And Now for Something Completely Different: Part Deux

I'm almost done with the first Skulduggery Pleasant book, but I was too tired to finish it AND write a review so I'm just doing a small post apprising people of my current reading schedule situation.

I had planned to read three fiction books that were off-topic (two by Derek Landy and one by Neil Gaiman) before digging back into my pile of books on religion. Rereading the first Skulduggery book, however, has made the two that I haven't read seem even more appealing to me and I don't want to wait until later this month to read them.

So, I'm sidetracking for a little bit longer and am in the process of redesigning my reading schedule for the month. For now, I'll be flying through all five of Derek Landy's book and then reading the next religion book on the list. Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book is going to be rescheduled for later in the month.

Have no fear, I'm still planning on reading all of the books I'd already planned on for April. None of them are particularly long, so it's all a matter of plotting out how many pages I read each day and possibly doubling up on books a couple of times this month.

My review of Skulduggery Pleasant should be up later today!

Hope everyone had fun doing Read-a-Thon! I'm already planning on taking off of work the next time it comes around so that I can actually participate this time.

  1. I very much liked Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard book but wholeheartedly applaud your plan to re-read Skulduggery. Someone did that for the readathon. If only mine weren't piled away somewhere.

Big thumbs up to you joining the readathon. I quite enjoyed it and am hoping to convince some friends to join in next time.

  2. If I hadn't had to work I would have participated but I did try to read as much as possible yesterday. Glad to hear you had a good time.

As for Skulduggery, it's like a compulsion. Halfway through the first book I was like, "I remember how the third book ended and I need to know how that resolved itself. I don't think I can wait till next week or the week after." :)
