Obligatory Morning Post

Usually I try to write a brilliant post before I go to bed and schedule it to post at 8 am the following morning. I'm never up that early but I know that many people are and like to have something to read while they're drinking their morning cup of coffee in their little cubicle. Tonight, I just can't do it. I'm sick, I'm exhausted, and I had my first truly awful day at work (a pretty good record considering I've been there since September).

So, here's my obligatory morning post:

Reading Good Omens again. Not as far as I had planned to be due to the last few days being busy. Found a copy of St. Augustine's Confessions, my reread of the month for April, at the library (I seem to have misplaced my copy) but it isn't the same translation I had so I'm not sure how I'm going to like it.

Other than that, there's nothing much to report. I apologize for the craptastic post. Now I'm going to go to bed and I'm hoping to sleep in until noon.

PS: As a way to make up for not being in the mood to write, here's a song that every person who has ever taken an American history class should listen to. It's called "The Corrupt Bargain" and it's from the okay-but-not-fantastic rock musical Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson. There's no actual video, just the song, but since the lyrics are, in my opinion, brilliant, you can just listen to it while you read them on this site. :)
