The "Books I Should Have Read By Now" June Link-Up

It's June, which means the "Books I Should Have Read By Now" Challenge has officially begun. Each month I'll be posting a link-up like this so that participants can post links to their reviews. I'm still trying to figure out what the prize is going to be for this challenge, but, as they say, you have to be in it to win it. You can sign up at any point during the challenge, so if you're interested, click the link above and post a link to your participation post.

  1. Here's my first entry in the challenge:

I signed up to do three a month so I'm definitely on track.

  2. Mysteriousbooks was kind enough to bestow upon me the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award, and I'd love to show my appreciation by passing it on to you.

I know we don't all collect awards, but if that's the case I'll still take the opportunity to say 'thanks' for such a lovely blog, and to wish you a wonderful weekend. :)

  3. First book review up and I broke my Anthony Burgess 'worried about reading in case it doesn't come close to A Clockwork Orange' curse!

  4. Kayleigh: Glad to know that you liked it. I've been worried about the same thing. I shall trust your judgment and find another Burgess book to read in the next few months. :)

  5. Here's my second post for the challenge. (I wish I could just edit my previous comment but I guess I cannot. More's the pity.)

Another post will go live tomorrow and I'm currently reading yet another book for the challenge so I'll exceed my goal of 3/month. Or I will for this month. Next month, who knows what will happen.

  6. Awesome! I haven't read any of the books for this challenge this month, although I'm reading Tom Sawyer this weekend. I'm glad that other people are so on top of this even though I'm not. :D

  7. My fourth review is up. It's for March by Geraldine Brooks, a book I gave to someone because they loved Little Women and I really wanted to borrow this book from her when she was done with it. She never loaned it to me and it took me six years to finally get around to reading it myself. Sheesh.

(And since I seem to have forgotten to post the link for my third review . . . here's that one as well:

  8. Satia: You're on fire this month. I've read one of two books I was planning on and you're already on book four. Your TBR list is going to shrink drastically because of this challenge. :) They're both great reviews.

  9. Phew, one book down...why did I sign up as voracious?!

  10. Ellie: I almost wouldn't have even made it to the avid reader level this month. I gave up on Tess of the D'Urbervilles but decided to pick up A Study in Scarlet, so I'll be able to meet my "quota."

  11. Yay, second review is up! Avid reader it is then!

  12. Okay. I swear I won't read so many books next month or at least I don't think I will. I have a pile of books but that doesn't mean many or even any of them fall into this challenge. Still, I'll try to fulfill my goal for 3 books per month.

Here is the sixth and what I think is the final review for June.

  13. I've decided to count Titus Groan as one book (I deserve it) so second review is up. Must find something I can read in a day...
